Annette O'Toole grew up in the Houston dance studio, which was managed by her mom. At the age of a toddler she appeared on television for the first time when she was two. After ten years of singing and dance lessons with her mom and sister, she headed into L.A. to try and explore if a show business career was feasible. Within two months she was offered her first work: dancing alongside Danny Kaye on The Danny Kaye Show. "I've made use of my dancing and singing lessons to a great extent," she says. It's great discipline for actors." O'Toole's debut acting gig was My Three Sons, followed by roles in Gunsmoke, The Partridge Family, The Mod Squad, as well as Hawaii Five-O. Her greatest passion, despite her film and television success has been theatre. The time her stint on Smallville was over, she made the decision to focus on theater, that's what she's been doing for the past decade. Following her move in New York, she had her debut on stage with The Sea Gull. Her appearances have been in various Off-Broadway shows, including Adam Rapp's Kindness, Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska and Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday For Creve Couer.
