Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher while her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. At a young age McCormick enjoyed singing as well as dance. She would also put on puppet shows for the neighborhood children. When she was just six years old, young, she took home an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick found her first role as a leading actress in 1964. She starred in a commercial for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. The year that followed, she appeared in another television commercial for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected out of a crowd of over 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded daughters on the new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice, that during season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The incident would have happened, she says. But, the time for our relationship wasn't right.
